Charnwood Concert Bands welcome all brass and woodwind musicians whatever their age or standard. Percussionists are also welcome. With three, ability-based sections there is a band to suit everyone. There are no auditions and we do not enter contests or festivals, although we do like to hear of our members' successes in this area. Neither are we affiliated to any particular school or organisation. Adults and young people from across Charnwood and beyond have an opportunity to play alongside each other in a friendly and welcoming environment. All we ask of you is your enthusiasm. You may not even need an instrument, as we are often able to loan them to members.

As you would expect with a group of bands made up of as wide a range of ages and abilities as ours, the bands' membership is constantly changing.
Whilst new members are joining and existing members move between the bands as their standard improves, we also occasionally say farewell as members move away or go on to greater heights. Past members have gone on to study at, and work with such prestigious institutions as Birmingham Conservatoire and the National Saxophone Choir of Great Britain.
